Foreign transactions are all transactions effected in foreign currency or occurring outside of Australia whether in foreign currency or Australian dollars including if you are in Australia (for example, online) where the merchant or the financial institution or entity processing the transaction is located overseas. §§§​ Virtual cards competition

Virtual card must link to a transaction or credit account. Eligibility criteria apply. Consider the TMD and PDS or T&Cs from Bankwest.

Eligible purchases are defined as transactions made with a Bankwest Virtual Card but exclude cash-out transactions at any merchant, gaming, lottery or gambling transactions; purchases/transactions that are subsequently refunded to the account; and fraudulent transactions.

Settled purchases are defined as transactions that have been finalised by the merchant and posted to your statement. ‘Authorisation Only’ transactions are not fully processed and are considered as pending transactions. The date the transaction settles may differ from the day the purchase/transaction was performed.
