Supporting the communities in which we live and work

Bankwest in the community

Our colleagues have two days paid leave per year to give back through volunteering. That’s over 7,000 hours of active support to community organisations doing critical work around Australia.

Volunteering WA (VWA) is the peak body for volunteering in Western Australia. Through VWA, we volunteer at a range of community organisations that support those affected by family and domestic violence.

Foodbank provides emergency food assistance to people in need. We help prepare affordable and nutritious frozen meals, and sort and pack hampers for Foodbank's charity partners.

Ronald McDonald House supports the families of sick children from regional areas while they receive treatment in Perth. We lend a hand by preparing home-cooked meals for them.

ABCN brings businesses and schools together to address educational disadvantage. Our colleagues mentor students through fun workplace-based programs that develop their confidence and skills.

Jawun brings corporate, government and philanthropic organisations together to drive change in Indigenous communities. Bankwest supports colleagues to take time away from their work to support Jawun's mission.

ABCN’s 15-year partnership with Bankwest has helped us achieve wonderful results and, more recently, Bankwest colleagues played a crucial role in supporting our aim of keeping students and mentors connected during the challenges COVID-19 kept throwing at us all. Thank you again for the amazing role Bankwest and its colleagues play in creating deep social benefit by investing in the next generation's long-term employability and wellbeing.
