Bankwest Halo

We've got some handy info to remind you how to use and manage your payment ring. 1

It’s secure

It's just as secure as your card – and backed by Mastercard® 24/7 fraud protection.

Less to carry

You can leave your cards at home.

No charging

There's no need to charge it or link it to an app.

Each ring is $15

You'll pay this whenever you order a Bankwest Halo.

They’re made from lightweight Hardened Advanced Ceramic and come in black or white.

You can order your Bankwest Halo ring before 28 September 2021 in the Bankwest App, online banking or a Bankwest branch. 1

It works just like your cards

  • The ring uses contactless technology – instead of tapping your card, you make a fist and hold it on the terminal to pay
  • It's linked to one account and can't be transferred to another
  • When it arrives, you'll need to activate it and set your PIN (if it’s linked to a bank account)
  • You can lock it or unlock it in the Bankwest App, so you're covered if you ever lose it.

Does it expire?

If it's linked to a bank account, it’ll expire in 3 years. If it's linked to a credit card, it’ll expire when the card expires.

What if it falls off my finger or gets damaged?

If you misplace your ring, you can put a temporary lock on it in the Bankwest App or online banking. If you're sure it's lost, call us on 13 17 19.

If you have any issues with your ring, head to your nearest branch or get in touch.

How much does it cost?

A fee of $15 will be charged for each ring you request us to issue to you. There are no ongoing fees for using your ring, but fees may apply to your linked account.

Can I change the linked account?

Your ring will be made specifically for the account you choose. If you want to link a ring to another account, you'll need to order a separate ring.

Where can I use the ring?

What if I need to refund a purchase made with the ring?
