Why can’t I log in to online banking?

You might be presented with error messages when you try to log in to online banking. Here’s what they mean.

'Your logon attempt was unsuccessful. Please try again.'

This means you've entered your Personal Access Number (PAN) and/or password incorrectly. Don't worry, it happens to the best of us. Make sure you check if caps lock is turned on before you try again.

'Access is denied. Please contact Bankwest Support'

After a few unsuccessful login attempts, you'll be locked out of online banking (it's a security precaution). The good news is the lockout isn't permanent – call us on 1300 440 749 so we can help you log back in.

'Your browser must be set to allow cookies in order to use Internet Banking.'

You'll need to enable cookies before you can log in – they help us authenticate your details.
