You can give someone else access to your transaction or savings account by adding them as a signatory. This means they can generally do everything an account owner can do except close the account.
You’ll both need to complete an Account Operating Amendment Form (PDF) and take it to your nearest Bankwest store.
If the new signatory isn’t already a Bankwest customer, they’ll need to go to their local Bankwest store with photo ID. See a handy list of ID documents we’ll accept.
With a joint account, both of you have full access and the ability to close the account. To set one up, you’ll need to close the sole account and open a brand new joint account.
To remove a signatory or third party, visit your nearest Bankwest store or call 13 17 19. Signatories can be removed on the spot without the need for a form.
As for joint accounts, you’ll need to close down the account and open your own individual accounts.
