How do I log in to the Bankwest App for the first time?
Never used our app or online banking before?
It’s a good idea to set up SMS code to allow you to get the most out of the app. You’ll need to do it through online banking – see how. Setting up SMS code will allow you to add or pay someone new, increase your daily payment limits, activate your card and more. If you haven't already set up SMS code and you try to perform an action that requires SMS code, you'll be prompted to open a browser from the app.
If you’ve logged on to Bankwest Online Banking before
To make the switch to the app:
- Download the Bankwest App from the App Store or Google Play
- Log in using your PAN and password (the same details you use to log in to online banking).
You’ll then be able to see your account balances and transactions. If you’ve set up SMS code, you’ll be able to make the most of all our handy app features straight away. If not, you’ll need to set it up to make sure you can do things like adding a new payment recipient. See how to set up SMS code.
Setting up different ways to log in
You can also set up easier ways to log in, like a 4 digit PIN, Fingerprint Login or Face ID (if compatible with your device).
- Log in to the Bankwest App
- Go to 'More', found in the bottom menu
- Tap ‘Login settings’ and update your login preferences.
