If you lose your Mastercard^® while overseas, you can call Mastercard International by using the international dialling code from the country you’re in, plus +1 636 722 7111. Mastercard will work with us to ensure you have a replacement card or cash for your trip.

The Bankwest SWIFT code is BKWAAU6P. A SWIFT code is an international bank code that identifies particular banks worldwide and is used to transfer money between banks from different countries. It’s sometimes known as a Bank Identifier Code (BIC).

If you have roaming enabled, then you should still be able to receive SMS codes. If you don’t have it enabled or you’ve left your phone at home, you can give us a call on +61 8 9449 2840.

Don’t forget, you’ll only need SMS code for certain transactions.

If your debit and credit cards have the Mastercard^® logo they can be used in over 43 million locations worldwide (wherever you see the logo). If they haven’t, they’re for use in Australia only.

Make sure you’re prepared for international fees. Depending on the type of account, you may incur a $5 overseas ATM withdrawal fee and a foreign transaction fee of 2.95% of the transaction amount for each transaction outside of Australia.
