As part of our commitment to our customers and community, we are actively taking steps to improve our vigilance around how we accept cash deposits and transactions at our Bankwest branches.
From Monday 21 March 2022, when you deposit cash at a Bankwest branch, you may be required to verify your identity by providing one form of eligible ID before we accept the deposit or transaction. Eligible ID includes:
Visit a participating Australia Post store and deposit cash and cheques using the Bank@Post service using your debit card.
To make a deposit, all you need is your card and PIN. Keep in mind that Bank@Post deposits have a $6,000 daily limit, and cheques may take up to 7 business days to clear.
