Technology Graduate Program

You'll be immersed in a technology driven agile organisation while building solutions for real world customer needs.

2022 Bankwest Technology Graduate Program

Applications for our 2022 Bankwest Technology Graduate Program are open from 5 to 25 July 2021. For all successful candidates, the program will commence in early February 2022.

About the program

Customer preferences are shifting to digital channels and Bankwest's Technology team plays a critical role in delivering the brilliant solutions and experiences that make our customers’ lives easier.

Our Technology team is responsible for simplifying and modernising Bankwest’s technology environment. We do this by designing and delivering market leading technology solutions, and as part of the CBA Group we have access to world leading technology — from innovative product platforms for our customers, to essential tools within our business. Right now, we’re building the foundations and increasing our adoption of cloud, automation, analytics, data science, virtualisation, and API-enabled systems – this is your chance to be part of WA’s largest employers of tech-educated professionals and help shape the future of Bankwest Technology.

As a graduate, you’re not a number or ‘just’ a coder, we’ll give you incredibly broad and exciting opportunities to deepen and grow your capabilities by working on real stuff and delivering real value for the business from day one – delivering solutions, reinvigorating existing technologies and creating new ones. Our structured program includes rotations across a wide range of cross-functional delivery teams to develop your skills and set you up for career success.

We have a modern workplace setting breakout collaboration and kitchen areas to catch up with colleagues, an active social network, team building, volunteering and diversity and inclusion activities, colleague events and training to learn and have fun, and even monthly competitions. We truly value your thoughts and empower you to see them through your day-to-day work and in our annual hack-a-thon sessions and community-based programs.

Bankwest is made by us. All people. People who are driven, but kind. Opinionated, but listen. People who take as much care with their work as they do with each other. People who are different, who have travelled, who have stayed in the one place. Extroverted people, introverted people and people who don’t really know what kind of person they are. People with different backgrounds, genders, orientations, races, and stories to tell. Because Bankwest is made by us and it takes all kinds of people to make Bankwest the best place to work in Australia.

This is your opportunity to kick start your career in an agile technology environment that is fast-paced, diverse and highly collaborative, where you’ll be supported by colleagues and leaders from all technology principles who genuinely care about you and your development.

What it takes

Our structured graduate programs start in February and run for two years.

  • Skills can be taught but at Bankwest we seek out people with strong values, empathy, good communications skills and who support diversity.

If this is you, join us at Bankwest Technology.
