You'll need a Bankwest transaction account to open a Smart eSaver.
No minimum monthly deposit required.
The Smart eSaver rewards you for leaving your savings alone to grow. No monthly account maintenance fees apply to this account.
Before you can set up a Smart eSaver, you'll need to have a Bankwest transaction account open in your name, which will be linked to your Smart eSaver. Monthly maintenance fees may apply to the linked account.
For every month you don’t touch your savings, you’ll earn a Variable Smart rate. Interest is calculated at the applicable rate on the portion of the balance which falls within each of the tiers outlined below.
For every month you do make a withdrawal, you'll receive our standard variable interest rate (currently 0.01% p.a.).
|Variable Smart rate (on balances up to $500,000)||2.05% p.a.|
|Variable Smart rate (on balances from $500,000 to $5,000,000)||1.70% p.a.|
|Standard variable interest rate||0.01% p.a.|
|Paper statement fee||$1.25 per statement|
Customers with this account will receive eStatements via Bankwest Online Banking. Customers who opt to receive a paper statement, however, may be charged the above fee. All accounts opened prior to 13 February 2017 will be progressively switched over to eStatements. Exemptions apply.
The above rates are calculated daily, paid on the first business day of the following month and are subject to change.
Note: this account has an investment limit of $5,000,000.
