Business Account and Service Closures

In February 2022, we announced that Bankwest will no longer offer business products and services under the Bankwest brand and Business Banking services are now offered through the Commonwealth Bank of Australia (CommBank).

We are now entering the final stages of our transition, with Business transactional and investment products being closed, as well as the cancellation or removal of 'on demand' credit facility limits and the removal of Bankwest Online Business Banking from 18 March 2025.

What’s happening

From 18 March 2025, the following changes to Bankwest accounts and services will occur:

  • The closure of Bankwest Online Business Banking
  • The closure of all business deposit and transactional accounts
  • The cancellation or removal of particular business credit facilities or limits you may hold.

Actions you need to take

  1. Complete a review of impacts for your business referring to the Bankwest Business Closures Guide
  2. If you are currently transitioning your banking to CommBank, this will need to be completed as soon as possible to avoid disruptions. Contact us for any questions or support to move your banking to CommBank.
  3. Alternatively, ensure you make new banking arrangements, and they are fully established and operational prior to 18 March 2025.
