Here are some things to try if you're not receiving your SMS code:
- Turn your phone off and back on, then request a new SMS code
- Check that your SMS inbox isn't full and that your phone has reception
- Check your phone settings to see if you may have blocked SMS messages from Bankwest
- If you're a business customer, make sure that your correct primary Australian mobile number is registered with us (you can update your mobile number by calling us on 1300 440 749 or by getting in touch with your Relationship Manager).
If you're still not receiving your SMS code, call us on 1300 440 749 for help.
If you're doing your banking on the latest version of the Bankwest App with PIN or fingerprint login already enabled, you might not need to enter SMS codes.
If you're a business customer who won't be able to get SMS code due to rural connectivity or because you're living overseas, you could apply for a temporary or permanent exemption. Contact us on 1300 440 749 (or on +61 8 9449 2840 from overseas), or contact your Relationship Manager. Note that calls made overseas from landlines or mobiles will be subject to standard international call rates.
