If you’re in a time of need, we might be able to make special arrangements for you. We’re ready to help you with any concerns or questions in the event of a natural disaster.

Special arrangements are available to customers, and our Customer Assist team is ready to help you promptly with your financial concerns and enquiries.

Bankwest Emergency Assistance for customers impacted by Tropical Cyclone Seroja

As of 12 April 2021, Bankwest has activated its emergency assistance for customers and businesses affected by Tropical Cyclone Seroja.

If you’re in need of help due to the impacts of the cyclone, we’re ready to help you with any concerns or questions.

Special arrangements are available to customers. These may include:

  • personalised solutions if you’ve got a loan, like changing the repayment arrangements
  • restructuring your business loan without having to worry about the usual bank establishment fees 
  • reviewing credit card payments if you’ve got good standing, including requests for emergency limit increases (subject to credit approval) 
  • waiving pre-payment penalties over the next month if you’d like to access term deposits 
  • waiving other selected fees and charges.

  • call us on 13 17 19 for help with credit cards, term deposits or other products or services
  • small business or new to Bankwest customers can call 13 7000 and Relationship Managed business customers can get in touch with their Relationship Manager for support​
  • for Merchant banking queries contact our Merchant Support Team on 1800 230 177
  • visit your nearest branch, if it’s safe to do so
  • you may also want to make a home insurance or car insurance claim.

Tropical Cyclone Seroja Distress Relief Fund

The Lord Mayor's Distress Relief Fund (LMDR) has been launched to assist those affected by Tropical Cyclone Seroja.​

LMDRF was established to provide alleviation and relief of distress, suffering, hardship and misfortune to individuals, as determined by the WA Government and/or Board of the Fund.

 

Bankwest is accepting LMDRF donations and Western Australians who wish to support can donate through the following options:

24 March 2021 – Bankwest Emergency Assistance for flood affected areas in New South Wales and South East Queensland​

Bankwest has extended its emergency assistance to customers and businesses affected by floods in both New South Wales and South East Queensland.
 
If you’re in need of help due to the floods in NSW and South East QLD, we’re ready to help you with any concerns or questions. Special arrangements are available to customers. These may include:
  • personalised solutions if you’ve got a loan, like changing the repayment arrangements​
