What you’ll need

To make an international transfer, you’ll need:

  • An eligible savings or transaction account
  • The SWIFT code or Bank Code, name and address of the overseas bank you’re transferring to 2
  • The recipient’s name, address and account number
  • The amount you want to transfer
  • The currency you want to transfer to.

If you’re sending money to certain countries, you might also need an International Bank Account Number (IBAN). It’s a good idea to check if you’ll need the recipient’s IBAN, so they can send it to you if they need to. 3

If you’re a Master user, you’ll need to give any Administrator and Employee users International Transfer payment privileges to their account.

How it works

  1. In the ‘Payments & transfers’ menu in the left side menu, choose ‘Make a payment'
  2. Select ‘International transfer’ from the option list
  3. Enter the country you’d like to send money to, and click ‘Start transfer’
  4. Choose the account you want the money to come from

  6. Choose the currency you’d like to make the payment in from the drop-down
  7. Enter the amount you’d like to transfer
  8. Enter the description/s of the payment
  9. Click ‘Create transfer’ to finish.

Limits and cut-off times

International Transfer limits

The default limit is either your current daily payment limit or $50,000 (whichever is lower). You can send a maximum of $100,000 for each International Transfer payment – if you need to send more than $100,000 or permanently/temporarily change your International Transfer payment limit, get in touch with your Relationship Manager or call us on 13 7000. If you don’t want to be able to send money overseas, you can also set your limit to $0.

International Transfer payment cut-off times

International Transfer payments that are submitted and approved before the cut-off time will be processed the same day. Payments approved after the payment cut-off time will be processed the next business day.
