Bankwest has been recognised as a global leader in the inaugural SWOOP Analytics 2018 Benchmarking of Yammer Networks for its use of the enterprise social network.
The benchmarking was based on more than 12 million interactions between 1.4 million people in 74 organizations around the world that utilise Microsoft Yammer.
Yammer is an enterprise social networking service with similar features to Facebook, but used for private communication within organisations.
Bankwest was one of three organisations recognised in the category for 1000-5000 employees, alongside health insurer Medibank and a Canadian financial services group.
The award follows Bankwest's presentation at last year's Microsoft Ignite conference in Orlando, Florida, having been identified as a global leader in its application of Yammer.
Bankwest's Senior Manager Digital Channels Matt Dodd said: "We're really pleased to receive this recognition, as Yammer has become an invaluable resource for us.
"We've worked hard at Bankwest to build a culture and environment that encourages colleagues and that is reflected in how we use our Yammer enterprise social network.
"We have colleagues creating groups that interest them – such as Pets of Bankwest – which builds personal connections and helps information flow across our organisation.
"Our internal campaigns are then focused on participation over promotion and our leaders set the tone, with active support through posts and interactions with colleagues.
"This award puts Bankwest in the same league as some well-known companies, such as Telstra, KFC, and Medibank, so it's good to know we're on the right track."
