Bankwest would not be the bank we are today without the support of the community - both the WA community we started working with back in 1895, and the national communities we're a part of today. At both the corporate and store level we like to return the favour by sponsoring events, organisations and causes that enrich the communities we're a part of.
As our customers come from all walks of life, the areas we sponsor are equally broad. We are particularly committed to supporting arts, community and business awards, indigenous affairs and sports.
While we recognise that all sponsorship requests have merit, the reality is we can't sponsor everyone. Applications that have a positive impact upon the communities we're a part of and align with business objectives are more likely to be our focus.
We are not currently seeking corporate sponsorship applications; however we have recently launched Happy Communities, a grants program supporting local communities across Australia. Bankwest customers are invited to apply for a grant up to $1000 to support a community group they're involved with, for example, a sporting club or school.
