If you're looking to pay a bill or transfer money to an account within Australia or overseas, you should be aware of certain cut-off times.
Money transferred to another Bankwest transactional account or credit card using the ‘internal transfer’ option in online banking will be available immediately.
If the transfer is made after 6:00pm WA local time (AWST) or on a weekend or public holiday, the funds will still be available immediately but the date shown for the transfer will be in one or two business days' time.
Transfers to another Bankwest transactional account using Pay Anybody will be available on the same day if submitted before 3:00PM WA local time (AWST) or the next business day if the transfer is done after 3:00PM AWST, on a weekend or public holiday.
Linked Account Transfers between Bankwest accounts will follow the same cut-off and process times.
The cut-off time for a Pay Anybody Transfer to be processed to another financial institution on the same business day is 3:00pm WA local time (AWST). Payments made after this time or on a weekend or public holiday will be processed the next business day.
Please note that while payments will usually be available the next business day, it can take up to three business days for funds transferred to another financial institution to reach the destination account. The transfer will appear to the recipient as processed on the date the payment was made.
Linked Account Transfers to/from accounts at other financial institutions will follow the same cut-off and process times.
The BPAY Payment cut-off time is 4:00pm WA local time (AWST) for any business day. Payments made after this cut-off time or on a weekend or public holiday will be processed on the following business day.
BPAY payments can take up to three working days to be received, but will appear to the recipient as processed on the date the payment was made.
East Coast daylight savings ends Sunday 7 April 2013 so please be aware that cut off times for receiving international money transfer instructions will change as of the 8 April 2013. International Money Transfer requests initiated in Store must be received by the back office as per the below table to ensure they are processed same day. Payment requests received after these times will be processed the following business day.
