Support for your credit card assistance

If you received assistance for your personal Bankwest credit card due to the impacts of COVID-19, here’s some information on what it means for you.

I received credit card assistance due to COVID-19 – what does this mean for me?

It means that the interest rate was reduced to 9.00% p.a. and you did not have a monthly payment requirement for at least the following two statement periods.

You weren't able to use the card while you were receiving this credit card assistance. It's important to note that all transactions during the credit card assistance period, including recurring repayments, were not paid.

Once your credit card assistance period finished, your regular interest rate and minimum monthly payment set out in the Credit Card Schedule started again. You can see this change on your monthly statements.

Using this credit card assistance wouldn't have made an impact to your credit rating or appear on your credit file during the assistance period.
