Our partnership with Australia Post means you can easily get an account balance, pay into your account and get cash out at your local participating Post Office. 1 Bank@Post is an agency service provided by Australia Post on behalf of Bankwest. Bank@Post is available at participating Post Offices. Services available are cash withdrawals, deposits and balance enquiries. Limits apply.

What can I do with Bank@Post?

Check your account balance

Make sure you have your bank card handy.

Deposit or withdraw cash

Deposit up to $8,000 cash per day 2 Loose coin accepted up to $20 otherwise coin must be in coin bags by denomination. and withdraw up to $2,000 per day. Simply select the cheque or savings option from your card.

Deposit Australian cheques

Deposit up to $100,000 per day, selecting the cheque or savings option from your card. You can deposit up to 99 cheques per transaction. Allow up to seven days for cheque deposits to be cleared.

Business customers

Business customers can also make a deposit using a barcoded deposit slip. Deposits made using a barcoded deposit slip are available the next business day.

Keep in mind

Currently you’re unable to make repayments or withdraw money with a Bankwest credit card account at Bank@Post.

Bankwest branch

Cheques deposited at a branch may take up to three business days to clear. Fees may apply.

As part of our commitment to our customers and community, we are actively taking steps to improve our vigilance around how we accept cash deposits and transactions at our Bankwest branches.

When you deposit cash at a Bankwest branch, you may be required to verify your identity by providing one form of eligible ID before we accept the deposit or transaction. Eligible ID includes:

Primary photographic ID

  • Current Australian or New Zealand driver’s licence, including Australian photographic learner’s permit
  • Australian passport issued by the Commonwealth (current or less than two years expired)
  • Current Australian government-issued proof of age card
  • Current NSW photo card and birth card
  • Current WA photo card
  • Current foreign passport or travel document.

Primary non-photographic ID

  • Australian or foreign birth certificate
  • Australian issued birth extract.

Depositing coins (including 1 and 2 cents)

Find one of our coin counting machines to deposit any gold or silver coins into your bank account.

You can also deposit one and two cent copper coins (even though they are no longer in circulation) by bringing them into a branch.

Smart ATMs

A Smart ATM will let you deposit cash (up to $10,000) and cheques (up to 50) into your eligible account. Keep in mind – cheques may take up to three business days to clear and your account needs to be linked to your card. Learn more about our Smart ATMs.
