Platinum Debit Mastercard® insurance changes

We’ve made some minor changes to the insurance that comes with the Platinum Debit Mastercard.

What’s changed?

As of 15 April 2020

There’s been a couple of changes to some definitions, exclusions and cover limits.

We’ve also made some updates to contact details and addresses you’ll need to make an insurance claim, plus our banking options.

The date prepared and some page numbers have also changed.

The specifics

As of 15 April 2020

  • The definition of ‘personal goods’ in ‘Words with special meaning’ and their exclusions have been clarified
  • Exclusions to ‘personal goods’ in ‘Baggage and personal effects’ have been updated
  • Cover limit conditions have been updated.

Cover-More email and postal addresses

The claim process is still the same – you’ll just need to send any documents or emails to a different postal or email address. 

Claims


The email address has been updated from claimsprocessing@covermore.com.au to bankwestclaims@covermore.com.au.

The postal address is now PO Box 2027 (it was Private Bag 913).

Cover-More Privacy Officer


The email address has been updated from privacy.officer@covermore.com.au to privacy.officerBW@covermore.com.au.

The postal address is now PO Box 2027 (it was Private Bag 913).

Customer Relations


The email address has been updated from customerrelations@covermore.com.au to customerrelationsBW@covermore.com.au.

The postal address is now PO Box 2027 (it was Private Bag 913).

Other changes

  • The Bankwest App has been added to the list of our banking options
  • The date prepared details have been updated
  • Page numbers relevant to particular sections have changed.

There’s no change to the way you make claims…
