All Debit Mastercard holders have now been upgraded to Platinum
From 25 July 2022, all customers with a Debit Mastercard will be upgraded to Platinum, giving them access to benefits, including less fees.
This includes Qantas Debit Mastercard holders, who will also be upgraded to Platinum.

Less fees when you spend overseas
With your Platinum Debit Mastercard, we'll charge no foreign transaction fees (the 2.95% fee will be waived) and no foreign ATM fees (previously $5 foreign ATM access fee).
You may be charged a fee by the ATM operator. Other fees and charges may apply.
What do you need to do?
If you have an existing Debit Mastercard, we’ll automatically upgrade you to a Platinum Debit Mastercard, so you can instantly access the benefits.
You can continue to use the same card, and don’t need to worry about changing your direct debits or payments.
