Sending money overseas

The International Transfers payment option is a convenient and time-saving feature that allows you to:

  • Send up to $100,000 per transfer to over 200 countries
  • Save on International Transfer fees
  • Securely send funds in Australian and foreign currencies into your recipient's account
  • View current foreign exchange rates

To send an International Transfer you will need:

  • An eligible savings or transaction account
  • The SWIFT or BIC code, name and address of the overseas bank you are transferring to
  • The recipient’s name, address and account number (this is the person receiving the funds)
  • The amount and currency you wish to send

If you are sending money to certain countries, you may also need an International Bank Account Number (IBAN). The recipient will need to provide you with their bank's IBAN if applicable.

Master users will need to provide Administrator and Employee users the International Transfer payment privileges to their account.

International Transfer limits

The default limit for International Transfer payments is set at your current daily payment limit or $50,000 (whichever is lower).

You can send a maximum of $100,000 for each International Transfer, however you can still send multiple international transfers a day, up to your daily payment limit.

If you do not wish to send money overseas, you can set your International Transfers payment limit to $0.

To change your International Transfer payment limit contact your Relationship Manager or call us on 13 7000.

International Transfer payment cut-off times

International Transfer payments submitted and approved before the payment cut-off time will be processed the same day. Payments approved after the payment cut-off time will be processed the next business day.
