Account Application Help FAQs

  • How long will it take?

    Completing the online application can take as little as 10 minutes.

    After you send us your completed application form (and all parties have been identified) we will open your account and you may access your new account within a few days.

    Please note our online application process includes a 45 minute time out session for additional security. If you leave your application open for 45 minutes without entering any details it will time out and you will need to start again.

  • What if I need to save and resume my online application at a later date?

    Once you have entered in a valid email address and clicked next on your "Personal Details" Page, you will receive an email with your application reference number in it.

    You are then able to resume your online application at any time using the application reference number within 21 days.

  • What Information will I need to know to apply?

    You will need the following:

    • Your Australian Business Number (ABN) if one is held.
    • Your Australian Company Number (ACN) if applicable.
    • Details of who will use the account.
    • An email address so we can confirm that your application has been received.
    • A printer so you can print your completed application form to sign and send it to us.
  • What are the Identification requirements?

    All new Authorised Signatories and Office Bearers (that are not Bankwest customers) will need to present photographic identification.

    Where applicable, we will send you an email setting out details of identification requirements.

  • What other Supporting Documents are required?

    You will require certain Supporting Documents depending on the type of organisation applying for a business account.

    Details of the Supporting Documents will be provided in the email we send you outlining your Next Steps.

  • When can I start using my Business Transaction Account?

    Once all documentation has been completed we will provide you with the new account number so you can commence making transactions on the account.

    We will send you separate details about how to access your new Online Business Banking facility.
