[Dr Murrison:] Bankwest, they’ve never said no, it’s always been “we’ll work on this challenge together” and that’s been a great assistance to us in the south west and through the metro.
We grew rapidly. We extended our first premises three times, and in the background we had the plans to build this clinic here, which Bankwest helped us with.
So we started with a branch clinic in Eaton, one of the local suburbs. We then opened a branch clinic in Busselton. We took over a clinic in Leschenault, Australind. The clinics in the metro area, they’re as far south as Rockingham and as far north as Midland. Bankwest is heavily involved in all of them.
I guess I’ve learnt from every mistake I’ve made, and I’ve made plenty of them because doctors aren’t business people first and foremost. I’ve been lucky with the support I have had from the bank and from others along the way. Bankwest were very good and they believed in us right from the start.
