What do I need to apply for a business credit card?

Before you apply for one of our business credit cards, check out the supporting documents you may need to provide us.

Identification for new customers

If you're a new customer, we'll need to confirm who you are.

Just pop into a Bankwest store with original or certified copies of one of the following:

  • One form of primary ID with a photo
  • Two forms of primary ID without a photo
  • One form of primary ID without a photo plus one form of secondary ID.

Business details

The documents you'll need to provide will differ depending on your business type. If we need anything else, we'll let you know during the application process.

Run a business? 

We may need your personal tax return from the last 18 months.

Work for an employer?

We might need your most recent payslip(s). If you're on probation, receive commission or are involved in any other special arrangements we might need a letter from your employer.

Rent out property?

We could need an up-to-date lease agreement for any properties.

Government organisations, joint ventures or foreign or other companies?

Additional cardholders

You can have up to three additional cardholders (or unlimited if you have a Corporate Mastercard) on your business credit card. If they are new to Bankwest, they'll need to complete a quick ID check. They can do this online, in-store or by calling a Business Banking Specialist on 13 7000
