Pinnacle Award for Corporate Social Responsibility Excellence

Bankwest was awarded the AIM WA WestBusiness Pinnacle Award for Corporate Social Responsibility Excellence for 2016. The award recognised Bankwest’s achievement of outstanding results in demonstrating leadership and commitment to excellence in corporate social responsibility.

Head of Community Engagement Craig Spencer said he was delighted Bankwest had won the award in such a competitive category. “It’s really a huge honour to win this award and it is testimony to the hard work and passion of our small team and many colleagues within Bankwest" he said.

Caring for our business, each other and our community is one of our values and we believe that we should use our unique skills and resources to make a positive difference beyond our core business.

Ashley Goldsworthy Award for Sustained Collaboration between Business and Tertiary Education

The Bankwest Curtin Economic Centre, an independent economic and social research centre located within the Curtin Business School at Curtin University, was awarded the Business/Higher Education Round Table’s Ashley Goldsworthy Award for Sustained Collaboration between Business and Tertiary Education for 2016.

BCEC Director Professor Alan Duncan said he was tremendously proud that the Centre’s achievements have been recognised through such a prestigious national award. “It's fantastic that BCEC, together with Bankwest and Curtin University, have won national recognition from such an influential body as B/HERT, it demonstrates that our passionate commitment to research is making a real difference to the lives of families, communities and businesses both in WA and nationally.” Professor Duncan said.


Defence Force Reservists

National Employer Support Award for Defence Force Reservists

2013 National Employer Support Award by the National Defence Reserves Support Council for supporting the Australian Defence Force Reserves. The annual National awards, held at the Australian War Memorial in Canberra, recognise private sector and government employers who have been particularly supportive of their Reservist employees.

Department of Fire and Emergency Services

Gold Category 2013 for the outstanding support of Emergency Services Volunteers

In 2013 the Department of Fire and Emergency Services awarded Bankwest Gold Category for the outstanding support of Emergency Services Volunteers.

Bankwest allows our emergency services volunteers to take time off work to respond to incidents or attend training, enabling them to deliver essential services that help keep our communities safe.
