About the program

The Data Science Graduate program is a newly created program for our graduates. The team is responsible for product and service development, pricing decisions, analytics and process transformation across Bankwest.

We use key customer insights to help the design and build of products and services that meet the needs of both our business and retail customers. We drive business value by creating innovative data products using machine learning and AI.

Our graduates are held in the highest regard and after completing the program, the future is yours at Bankwest.

Program structure

The Data Science Graduate program is a two-year structured program that will complement your degree. Development will be personalised based on your degree and experience.

Exposure to our core functions will give you a solid understanding of how to use analytical techniques to deliver leading business solutions. Projects and business engagement will be tailored to your personal career goals, maximising your opportunity for growth.

The program is also integrated with graduates across the organisation. This gives you development opportunities, multiple lines of support and a vast network of colleagues and contacts to help you to build a successful career at Bankwest.

Graduates from all disciplines are welcome to apply, however, preferred degree areas include:

  • Data Science
  • Business Analytics
  • Actuarial Studies
  • Statistics
  • Mathematics
  • Computer Science
  • Engineering
  • Any other quantitatively oriented discipline.

Eligibility criteria

You must:

  • have an Australian or New Zealand citizenship or permanent residency at the time you submit your application
  • have a grade point average of 65% or over
  • be in the final year of a university undergraduate or postgraduate degree, or have completed your studies in the last 12 months (our technology program also accepts TAFE qualifications).
