How many free transactions will I get per month on the account?

The account comes with unlimited free transactions. This means you can make as many transactions using EFTPOS, selected ATMs, online and phone banking transfers for free. Even better, there is no charge for performing a withdrawal at any Bankwest store.

Will I pay BPAY or Pay Anybody fees?

Are there any fees payable if I need to set up a Periodical Payment on my account?

Yes, we charge a small service fee for each periodical payment processed on your account. To avoid this fee you can simply set up a recurring Pay Anybody transaction via our online banking.

What happens if I don't deposit the $2,000 per month?

If you fail to deposit $2,000 per month in two consecutive months, the account will automatically roll into a Lite Transaction Account (Direct Option). The easiest way to ensure you make the deposits is to have your salary directly credited to your account.

How do the other bank's ATMs know to charge me the Direct Charge or not?

When using non-Bankwest/CBA ATMs the Direct Charge will be displayed on the screen and as a Zero Transaction Account customer, you will need to select 'YES' to accept this fee. Bankwest will absorb the fee so it won't be debited to your account for all transactions made at Westpac, NAB and ANZ branded ATMs. The Direct Charge fee will be debited from your account when you use any other ATMs.
