In the coming months we’ll be introducing changes to Bankwest Online Banking (BOB) to give you access to better security and more features.
SMS code is simple to use and free. Plus, you’ll get access to more features in BOB like higher daily payment limits. When a stronger identity check is required, we’ll ask you to enter a 6-digit code which we’ll send via text message to your mobile.
To take advantage of SMS code, all BOB customers will be prompted to
upgrade their security over the next three months. All you need to do is setup some secret questions and confirm your mobile number – we won’t ask you for any account details.
When it’s your turn to upgrade, you will be prompted to complete the ‘upgrade my security’ wizard as soon as you log in to BOB. We understand you may be in a hurry at the time so you will have the opportunity to skip the security upgrade three times.
If you shop online using your Bankwest debit or credit card, then you’ll get extra security with SMS code at sites that display the MasterCard SecureCode or Verified by Visa logos.
