The Royal Flying Doctor Service (RFDS) and Bankwest have joined forces to raise funds for the RFDS in Western Australia.
A community fundraising partnership announced today includes an initial donation from Bankwest to the RFDS.
RFDS chief executive officer Tim Shackleton welcomed the partnership, which he said would help the organisation identify additional fundraising opportunities throughout the State.
“Like the RFDS, Bankwest has its roots deep in the Western Australian community,” Mr Shackleton said. “They are well known and well supported in many of the same regional communities we operate in,” he said.
“The partnership continues a long standing association between Bankwest and the RFDS in WA and we look forward to continuing that relationship in the future.”
The partnership will see Bankwest assist the RFDS to raise funds through a range of initiatives that will engage colleagues and local communities across the state.
Paul Vivian, Head of Marketing at Bankwest believes the partnership brings together two iconic brands with deep connections to the WA community.
“Bankwest is committed to the Western Australian community. We are partners with the RFDS because we want to help support people living, working and travelling in rural and remote parts of the State,” he said.
“This partnership reflects Bankwest’s commitment to being part of the WA community and also helps to support the essential work of the RFDS.”
