Third Annual First Time Buyer Deposit report

The latest report in the Bankwest Financial Indicator Series - the third annual “First Time Buyer Deposit Report” shows that the average time it takes a first time buyer couple to save a house deposit is 4.1 years.

This figure has only slightly improved from last year (4.3 years) however is substantially longer than five years ago when it took first home buyers an average of 3.8 years to save a deposit to get onto the property ladder.
