Payment cut-off times for the Easter Public Holiday period

Processing times for payments may be affected during National Public Holidays such as the Easter public holiday period.

What it means to you:

Any payments you send or receive over the Easter period will be affected by Public Holiday closures in regards to the clearing and settlement process.

Payments between financial institutions in Australia

Payments made to another financial institution after 3:00pm WA local time (AWST) on Thursday 5 April 2012 will be sent for processing on Tuesday 10 April 2012. Please note that while payments will usually be available the next business day, it can take up to three business days for funds transferred to another financial institution to reach the destination account.

Payments received from another financial institution after 3:00pm WA local time (AWST) on Thursday 5 April 2012 will be processed on Tuesday 10 April 2012. Please note that while payments will usually be available the next business day, there may be a slight delay due to an increase in processing volumes as a result of the Public Holidays.

Note: Typically Government (Centrelink) and other bulk payments are brought forward ahead of an extended holiday period, however customers may still experience delays with these payments.

Payments between Bankwest accounts

Money transferred to another Bankwest transaction account or credit card (using the ‘internal transfer’ option in online banking) after 6:00pm WA local time (AWST) on Thursday 5 April 2012 will be available immediately, however the date shown for the transfer will be reflected with one or two business days’ delay.

Transfers to another Bankwest transactional account using Pay Anybody after 6:00pm WA local time (AWST) on Thursday 5 April 2012 will usually be available within the hour (or overnight if to a Bankwest credit card), however the date shown for the transfer will be the next business day.

Linked Account Transfers between Bankwest accounts will follow the same cut-off and process times mentioned above.
