Western Force Junior Captain

Ten year old Grethe has lived the dream of countless kids…winning Bankwest’s ‘Be an Emirates Western Force Junior Captain’ in a sell out crowd against the Crusaders on the weekend.

The contest required entrants to tell the Force in 25 words or less, what their happiest Force moment was. They received a lot of entries but there could only be one winner and Grethe’s win was very well deserved.

The budding writer penned “My happiest Force moment was after the Force won a home game and the whole team walked around to thank the fans and I got a kiss on the cheek from Nathan Sharpe.”

Grethe was ecstatic to be able to do the coin toss and run the ball out at the start of the game.

The Emirates Western Force and Crusaders served up a great game, with the New Zealanders needing two late tries to put away the home side and secure a 12 point win.
