Striving to be FaB
04 October 2011
Everybody strives to be a little bit FaB..but at Bankwest we really are! FaB is our working group; led by a team of very enthusiastic volunteers that go beyond the call of duty to organise our fund raising events.
All money raised goes directly to Bankwest’s charity partners – Red Kite and Edmund Rice camps for Kids WA. The FaB committee has grown in 2011 as we work to come up with fun and innovative ways to raise money for our wonderful charities.
To start of this financial year we raffled a Deluxe Easter basket, filled with 10kg of chocolate.. heaven for chocoholics!
We also ran a May Madness joke competition which was a huge success thanks to the prize of a Captain Cook river cruise; kindly donated by our friends at Captain Cook Cruises Perth.
Our Winter Warmer Treasure Hunt was a big hit; with the prize of an overnight stay kindly donated by the Mindarie Marina Hotel, plus the extra bonus of a beautiful handmade quilt, a bottle of port and port sippers. Delish!
For Father’s Day we held a raffle with the prize of a 10kg block of Cadbury chocolate with an esky full of Dad’s favourite drinks… an extremely popular raffle!
We also flew hundreds of delicious Krispy Kreme Doughnuts from the eastern states to Perth to a bunch of excited, hungry colleagues. Who would have thought the simple doughnut would cause such a buzz? We will definitely be doing this again!
We also held our Grand Final Footy Fever event on Sept 30 with a book drive, selling colleagues books in the foyer of the Bankwest Tower – with all proceeds going to Bankwest Charity partners.
Last, but not least, we were very thankful to attend the Red Kite quiz night in Perth.. all who attended claim they had a fabulous night – check out the happy snap!
