RSPCA Million Paws walk
03 June 2011
Imagine more than 15,000 four-legged friends padding down the South Perth foreshore…followed by some fit (and perhaps not-so-fit!) Bankwest colleagues – it’s all part of the fun participating in the RSPCA Million Paws walk.
The Million Paws Walk is an annual event across Australia which took place on May 15; raising much-needed funds for the RSPCA. It was the ‘Big Day Out’ for animal lovers; the cool morning did nothing to keep dog owners at bay as they strutted their stuff along the foreshore.
There was a great variety of dogs; from Great Danes, Irish Wolfhounds and Afghans…to the pint-sized Chihuahuas and Shitzus. We’re told many of the small dogs insisted on being carried by their owners after the halfway mark!
Colleagues in Perth and Sydney took part in the Million Paws Walk held in their respective states …while a dozen smaller walks were also held at regional centres across WA.
