The stars of our current TV campaign have proven their talent shines beyond the confines of the small screen…they can also swim. They took to the depths of the swimming pool at Christchurch Grammar School on Feb 20th, to support the charity 50 metre iiNET Team Sprint Cup for Autism West, in Claremont.
The star studded team, decked out in orange branded bathers, featured Rhys, Ian, Robert, Campbell, Gordon and the coach Gavin…one of whom was once a national swimmer. (It’s a mystery in regards to which one…take a guess!)
This is the fourth year of the iiNET Team Sprint Cup for Autism West, which has become an important event in the WA corporate and swimming calendar. It’s always a great way to get your swimming buddies, family, school friends and sporting groups together to form a team and support a great cause.
Autism West Support Inc seeks to support parents with children with Autism Spectrum Disorders (ASD) to cope with the challenges they face everyday ensuring every opportunity is given to allow them to meet their full potential. Former Olympian Duncan Armstrong did a great job as MC, joined by former Australian swimming coach, the legendary Laurie Lawrence.
P.s The Bankwest team finished a fabulous 3rd. Not too shabby.
