A happy day out expected for all the family at the Bankwest Community Fair
23 March 2011
It’s time to relive your childhood…or at least let your kids enjoy a fun day at the Bankwest Community Fair; presented by the Rotary Club of Karrinyup. There’ll be camel rides, jumping castles, an animal farm, sideshow alley, face painting, music, dancing, food stalls and an attraction kids – and big kids – alike find difficult to resist…fire engine rides! (who didn’t have at least a momentary fantasy about being a fireman/woman?)
The Bankwest Community Fair has been a family attraction since 1986, with the fantastic support it receives from local businesses including Community Newspapers, The West Australian and IGA Osborne Park. It’s our first year as a major sponsor and we’re thrilled to be involved!
“It’s great to see the local community come together for this event that, over the years, has raised around $150,000 for various charities like The Multiple Sclerosis Society of WA, Asthma Foundation of WA and the Royal Flying Doctor Service, amongst others,” said President of the Karrinyup Rotary Club, Peter Polain.
There will also be an opportunity for all attendees to win a $1,000 Bankwest Instant Saver Account by simply visiting the Bankwest marquee and entering the draw. Plus, there’ll be a special music competition between the local schools which will give the community an opportunity to showcase local talent.
The free event will take place on Sunday April 3 from 10am – 4pm at the Robinson Reserve on Royal Street, Tuart Hill.
