Getting Started

If you're the parent or legal guardian of a cashed up kid in the making, the easiest way to open a Bankwest Kids' Bonus Saver is to visit your nearest Bankwest store . Our staff will help you to open an account straight away.

If you or your child don't currently have existing Bankwest accounts, we'll also need you to provide some identification documents.

Alternatively, you can take your account application to your nearest Bank@Post Australia Post outlet. To find out which application forms you need to complete, please answer the two questions below:

Application Steps
Since your child already has a Bankwest Children's Savings Account, all you need to do now is apply for a Kids' Bonus Saver account by following the steps below. Remember, you only need to complete these steps if you're not able to visit a Bankwest store.

1) Read the following documents

2) Print and complete the following forms

3) Place the completed Privacy Statement and application form into an envelope and address it to:

4) Take the envelope and your 100 Point ID Check forms (if required) into your nearest Bank@Post Australia Post outlet.

Australia Post will process the 100 Point ID Check forms (and any opening deposit), and forward the Reply Paid envelope to Bankwest to open the account/s. Depending on where you are, and how long it takes us to get the documents, the account(s) may take up to 15 days to open.
