Call into any Bankwest store and we'll do the rest. To get you up and running with your new account quicker, you'll need to bring a few things along with you.

If you are not an existing Bankwest customer we'll need to confirm who you are. For advice on what identification documents you should bring along, please check our Customer Identification Requirements.
• Proof of income details - for example, 2 recent consecutive pay slips, copy of your last tax assessment notice or current bank statements showing credits to your account.
• Employer contact details.
• Tax File Number.

Call 1300 130 212 and let one of our representatives take the strain. They're available to take your call 7am - 7pm weekdays and 8am - 4pm at the weekends. All times are AWST.

Here's a couple of things you may want to have available before you call us.

• Financial Information - income details, assets, liabilities, etc.
• Employer contact details.
• Tax File Number.

By Mail

If you are unable to visit a Bankwest store and would prefer to open your account at your leisure, here's how.

• Complete the account application form.
• Proof of income details - for example, 2 recent consecutive pay slips, copy of your last tax assessment notice or current bank statements showing credits to your account.
• Place the completed account application form and evidence to support your income details into an envelope addressed to:
