To save yourself time, have the following information ready before you apply:

Identification

To open and operate any Bankwest business credit card you are required under the provisions of the Anti-Money Laundering and Counter-Terrorism Financing Act 2006 to provide identification / verification. This applies to all individuals associated with an application, including signatories and guarantors.

Select the entity type

Please select the section/s below that relate to the entity type/s that will apply for a business credit card, and provide copies of the relevant requested information for each.

• Sole trader

  • Operating Agreement
  • Privacy Statement and Consent forms signed by all parties
    Tax File Number
  • Any ABN issued to you
  • Business Name Search (no more than 10 working days old) OR, alternatively Bankwest will conduct this on your behalf
  • All Signatories who are non-Bankwest customers will need to present Photo ID at their nearest branch or provide certified copies of ID

• Partnership

  • Operating Agreement
  • Privacy Statement and Consent forms signed by all parties
  • Tax File Number
  • Documentation that verfies the partnership information. At least one of the following must be collected:
  
  
  1. Partnership agreement
  2. Certified copy of certifed extract of the partnership agreement
  3. Minutes of a partnership agreement
  4. Reliable and independent documents relating to the partnership or reliable electronic data
  
  
  • The full name and residential address of each partner in the partnership except where the regulated status of the partnership is confirmed through reference to the current membership directory of the relevant professional association
  • All signatories who are non-Bankwest customers will need to present Photo ID at their nearest branch or provide certified copies of ID
  • If partnership is registered as a business, Bankwest will conduct a Business name search on behalf of the partnership

• Company

  • Operating Agreement
  • Privacy Statement and Consent forms signed by all parties
  • Identity Declaration
  • Tax File Number / ABN / ACN (if available)
  • Company Name Search (no more than 10 days old) OR, alternatively Bankwest will conduct this on your behalf
  • All signatories who are non-Bankwest customers will need to present Photo ID at their nearest branch or provide certified copies of ID

• Trust

  • Operating agreement
  • Privacy Statement and Consent forms signed by all parties
  • Tax File Number / ABN / ACN (if available)
  • Copy of Trust Documents / Trust Deed extract obtained and includes the following format:
  
  
  1. Copy of signing / execution page
  2. Name of the Trust
  3. Business name (if any)
  4. Copy of Stamped first page or evidence of stamp duty paid (if applicable)
  5. Name of each trustee
  6. The residential / street address of each Trustee
  7. The name of each beneficiary and if they are not named, the class of beneficiaries
  
  

  (Where the lending is greater than $3 million and involves a trust, the full Trust Deed document is required for lending purposes. Where a Queensland freehold mortgage is taken, the full Trust Deed is required)

  
  
  • At least one trustee will need to present photo ID at their nearest branch or provide certified copies of ID (two trustees if the trust is an overseas trust)
  • All new signatories that are non Bankwest customers will need to present photo ID at their nearest branch or provide certified copies of ID.

• Societies

  • Operating agreement
  • Privacy Statement and Consent forms signed by all parties
  • Tax File Number / ABN / ACN (if available)
  • Society account documentation obtained and included the following information:
  
  
  1. Copy of Minutes of Meeting (on letterhead if society is incorporated) that authorised the opening of the account and states the authorised signatories and method of operation
  2. Copy of the society's Constitution
  
  
  • ASIC search - Bankwest will conduct this on behalf of an incorporated society
  • All new signatories that are non Bankwest customers will need to present photo ID at their nearest branch or provide certified copies of ID.

Evidence of your financial performance

• Past 3 years’ business financials (including Profit and Loss Statement and Balance Sheet).
• Past 3 years’ personal tax returns for individuals associated with the business
• Bank statements from both trading and loan accounts for the previous 12 months for non-Bankwest accounts
• If your business is a startup, please provide a Business Plan and Cash Flow Projections
• For lease, HP or Chattel Mortgage, please provide your Purchase Order, Offer and Acceptance or Contract of Sale.
• You will be asked to provide further information prior to document preparation.

Security Details

• Copies of Certificates of Title and/or
• Property valuations
