Open a Bankwest Zero Transaction Account

Call into any Bankwest store and we'll do the rest. To get you up and running with your new account quicker, you'll need to bring a few things along with you.

  • If you are not an existing Bankwest customer we'll need to confirm who you are. For advice on what identification documents you should bring along, please check our Customer Identification Requirements.
  • Proof of income details - for example, 2 recent consecutive pay slips, copy of your last tax assessment notice or current bank statements showing credits to your account.
  • Employer contact details.
  • Tax File Number.

Over the Phone

Call 1300 723 048 and let one of our representatives take the strain. They're available to take your call 7am - 7pm weekdays and 8am - 4pm at the weekends. All times are AWST.

Here's a couple of things you may want to have available before you call us.

  • Financial Information - income details, assets, liabilities, etc.
  • Employer contact details as listed in White Pages.
  • Tax File Number.

If you are unable to visit a Bankwest store and would prefer to open your account at your leisure, here's how.

  • Complete the account application form
  • Proof of income details - for example, 2 recent consecutive pay slips, copy of your last tax assessment notice or current bank statements showing credits to your account.
  • Place the completed account application form and evidence to support your income details into an envelope addressed to:
