New to Online Banking

If you are new to Online Banking, this page will provide the information you need to get started and make the most of using BankWest Online Banking (BOB).

We also have a series of Demos to assist with the most commonly performed tasks on BankWest Online Banking.

Logging on for the first time

Before you begin and log on for the first time, you require your Personal Access Number (PAN) which will have been mailed to you or possibly printed on your BankWest ATM card plus your Secure Code that will have been mailed inside a yellow envelope. If you do not have either of these call 13 17 18 for assistance.

• Under Online Services in the top right of any BankWest web page, select Personal Banking from the drop down box
• On the new logon page that has launched, enter your Personal Access Number and Secure Code
• Click the Log On Button
• Enter a new Secure Code then Confirm your new Secure Code
• Click the Change Secure Code Button
• Congratulations you have now logged on and your account balances will now be displayed

• View all your account balances plus available balances all from the one page
• Abilitiy to do transaction searches on specific transactionals and print or export to your accounting package.
• Tax Information for the last 7 years
• Rename and reorder your accounts for easier recognition

• Transfer funds between your own accounts in one easy transaction
• Pay over 15,000 bills using BPAY®
• Receive bills using BPAY View®
• Use Pay AnyBody to transfer funds to any person's account held within Australia using the BSB and account number
• Payment description is available to put a relevant description on your account while a seperate narration is available for each recipient
• Payments can be scheduled for future dates or set to be recurring multiple times by simply creating one payment
• Detail history is available of all successful and unsuccessful payments for the last 12 months

• Update your address and contact details online.
• Use BankMail to send secure emails to BankWest.
• Stop Cheques and order cheque books.
