Frequently Asked Questions

Will I have to pay an annual fee for a Bankwest Zero Gold or Zero Platinum card?
We love this question.
No.
How do I apply for the Zero Gold or Zero Platinum card?
Too easy. Simply complete our combined application form for the Bankwest Zero Classic, Zero Gold and Zero Platinum MasterCards.
Simply hit the ‘Apply Now' button above to start your online application.
How do I know if I am eligible for a Zero Gold or Zero Platinum card?
We'll work out if you're eligible for a Zero Gold or Zero Platinum from the information you provide in your credit card application.
Relax. We will let you know which cards you're conditionally approved for and you can choose the one you want.
What is the difference between a Zero Classic, a Zero Gold and a Zero Platinum MasterCard?
It's pretty straightforward. The Zero Gold MasterCard provides you with built in travel insurance and accident insurance protection.
It also comes with automatic purchase protection on any goods you buy, including up to 12 months extra on top of the usual manufacturer's warranty.
A Zero Platinum MasterCard has all the benefits of the Zero Gold MasterCard, plus a few more bells and whistles. On top of the Zero Gold MasterCard features, it comes with a 24/7 concierge service to help you arrange travel, bookings, shopping and medical services. ^
What are the advantages of a balance transfer?
Balance transfers keep things simple. By transferring your balances to one card and closing your other credit card accounts, your money will be easier to manage because you will have just one monthly statement and one monthly payment.
Even better, when you conduct a balance transfer from a high interest credit to a lower interest rate Bankwest card, you can reduce your debt faster. That should put a smile on your face.
What is a balance transfer fee?
A 1% balance transfer handling fee to a maximum of $50 applies to each balance transferred to a Bankwest Zero MasterCard. For example, if you transfer a balance of $1000, you'll pay a handling charge of $10. Subsequent balance transfers are simply charged at the ongoing rate of 15.99%.
