Bankwest Gold Term Deposit Now at Market Leading 7.10 percent p.a.

25 August 2009

Bankwest today reaffirmed its challenger role and commitment to offering Australians greater banking choice by increasing the rate on its Gold Term Deposit offering up to a market leading 7.10% PA.

One of Bankwest's more popular offerings, the Gold TD has a high guaranteed return as long as you make no withdrawals with the added benefit of no bank fees.

Interest ranges from a competitive 4.46% PA for 12 months up to a market leading 7.10% PA for 60 months fixed term.

"Our great new Gold TD rates once again prove that Bankwest is committed to remaining highly competitive by offering Australians a range of highly innovative products," said Bankwest Head of Deposits, Juan Perez.

"With interest rates at an all time low now is a great time for customers to look to lock in a high interest rate on their cash savings."

Mr Perez said another benefit was that customers also had ten days to consider their options once their term deposit matured.

"Our new rates make Gold TD even more competitive and offer customers a range of innovative options to take the hassle out of banking," he said.
