BankWest Competition Offers $500 Prize for Western Australian Photos

26 February 2007

Western Australian photography enthusiasts have the chance to have their photo displayed on the new BankWest Instant Saver account ATM card

Western Australian photography enthusiasts have the chance to have their photo displayed on the new BankWest Instant Saver account ATM card which will be used by thousands of Western Australians.

To celebrate the launch of the new BankWest Instant Saver account, BankWest is offering photography enthusiasts the chance to win $500 by entering a photo of Western Australia in the BankWest Instant Saver photo competition.

Four winners will be chosen to each win $500 in a BankWest Instant Saver account with their winning photo included on the BankWest Instant Saver card.

Entrants are asked to upload their images of Western Australia to www.bankwestphoto.com.au by the 14th April 2007.

BankWest Head of Marketing and Products, David Rose, said idea of the competition was to give a distinctly West Australian feel to the bank's new Instant Saver product.

"We've introduced the Instant Saver to encourage West Australians to put their extra cash into a flexible, high interest savings account," he said.

"This is one of the best everyday savings accounts on offer and you can earn 475 times more on your money than your everyday account with an interest rate of 4.75 per cent with no hidden catches."

BankWest's Instant Saver account comes with an access card with eight different designs using photos of Western Australian taken by BankWest staff and the winners of the photo competition.

BankWest will also be offering a $250 People's Choice prize for the most popular photo chosen.

Visit  www.bankwestphoto.com.au for more details.

The winners of the photograph competition will be announced on the 21st April 2007.
