Online Business Banking Security - Guarding and Defending You 24/7

We go to great lengths to make sure Online Business Banking is efficient, effective and above all secure and we have dedicated staff, processes and systems continually monitoring our online banking systems to prevent fraud.

Here's a snapshot of the measures we take to protect you and your business:

FeatureHow it Works and Protects You

Security Token

This is a small device which slips onto your key ring and generates a random code (a 6 digit number) every 60 seconds. You use it together with a 4 digit PIN to log on and authorise payments. World class security giving you peace of mind.

SSL and 128bit encryption

These are best-practice security controls which establish a secure connection when you log on and scramble all information travelling between your computer and the Online Business Banking system.

Firewalls

These are designed to block unauthorised network traffic, which assists in preventing unauthorised access to the system.

VeriSign Security Seal

This is a widely-respected security benchmark used by Bankwest. You can 'click' on the VeriSign symbol to be sure you're accessing our Online Business Banking application and not a scam site.

Suspicious Activity Scanning

We have dedicated staff, processes and systems continually monitoring our online banking systems to prevent fraud.

Online Banking Session Timeout

We have a default session timeout in place. After 15 minutes of inactivity, the system will end your online banking session.

Industry Working Groups

We work continually with government, industry and regulatory bodies to ensure the safety and security of your information, privacy and funds.
