Jon Sutton

Bankwest Managing Director

Jon took over as Managing Director of Bankwest in December 2008 after a number of years in senior leadership positions at the Commonwealth Bank.

One of the first things Jon did was introduce a new strategic direction for Bankwest, reaffirming its commitment to the Western Australian community while maintaining its challenger status on the East Coast.

Jon started his working career at Ricegrowers' Co-operative Ltd, where he spent 12 years in a number of senior positions. These included Group Treasurer, where he managed the organisations financial and commodity risks.

Jon then joined the Commonwealth Bank in 1994 where he established a Foreign Exchange Night Desk to service Australian-based clients.

Among his other responsibilities was marketing commodity hedging products to Australian institutions, including base metals, precious metals and energy products. He developed research capabilities for commodities, publishing a client commodity pack that focused on the base and precious metals markets.

Vittoria Shortt

Chief Executive Bankwest Retail

Vittoria was appointed Chief Executive Bankwest Retail in March 2010. Before joining Bankwest, Vittoria had many diverse roles in the retail bank at the Commonwealth Bank leading Sales, Operations, Strategy, Marketing, Human Resources, Product, Mergers and Acquisitions and Information Technology functions.

Prior to the Commonwealth Bank, Vittoria was a specialist in mergers and acquisitions with Carter Holt Harvey in the forest products industry and corporate finance with Deloitte.

Vittoria has a Bachelor of Management Studies majoring in Accounting and is a qualified Chartered Accountant from the Institute of Chartered Accountants in New Zealand.

Ian Corfield

Chief Executive Bankwest Business

Ian was appointed Chief Executive Bankwest Business in December 2009. He joined Bankwest in 2007 and previously ran the Retail division, which he took from being a predominantly Western Australian based bank to a national business.

Previously, Ian was with HBOS plc from 2000 to 2008 and led a number of businesses in the United Kingdom before running the retail bank in Ireland.

Ian spent his early career working as a management consultant and a political analyst.
